It's your life ~ your story ~ your way!

Did you know that Valentines day is the second largest holiday of the year for sending cards. Traditionally this annual holiday is associated with romantic love between intimate companions and many lovers express their love for each other by sending candy, flowers and greeting cards.    Personally I prefer to express my love and affection for my husband on an daily basis but on this special day I try to go the extra mile to let the hubby know just how important he is to me and our family.  I like to acknowledge my love and affection for our children also, so usually there’s a little goodie bag with a little something for each daughter also.

It seem’s like Valentine’s Day is just a little holiday, but really….not the case.  There’s so much more to it, feelings are involved, nothing is simple, and when you have school age kids you add a completely different element…… the class party!

A day to celebrate love and affection just turned into a day to celebrate friendship and gratitude, for 34 children and 1 special teacher.  My girls come in all different ages, adult, teenage and preteen-age, so I’ve been dealing with this element of Valentines Day for many, many years. In my experiance, the biggest drag about the class party is deciding which of those cheap little valentines to purchase and making sure you don’t have the same style as some other friend. Let’s face it, there’s only so many to choose from. Then you need to decide which one to send to whom, and getting your child to personalize them with their signature, now that’s always fun.  Over the years I’ve found it doesn’t matter what age your children are, there’s always an issue. Last year I found the answer.

I created personalized photo Valentine cards for my daughters.  They loved them!  Using my Creative Memories Storybook Creator Plus Software, I designed Valentine cards for each daughter, personalized them with their picture, and name, sent them to the printer and added a candy treat.  Voila!, No sweat, no whining, no complaining, and they were very affordable too. That’s always important.  I loved it!  I received many compliments from other moms, they loved them also.

This year, I’ve decided to offer this service to busy moms.  If you would like to have a personalized Valentine for your child I can help you.  To make it personalized for you and personalized for them I’ve created a couple different options.

Some samples of cards with and without the treat.

Cards can be personalized with any design, saying, color etc.  it’s your card to choose the style.  Yes, boys cards are also available I just have girls….I think I’ll post some samples after I create them. 😉

Option 1 – a digitally designed 3×4 Valentine in JPEG form for you to upload and personally print at any local printer (Walmart, CVS, Target, etc, the cost of the print is usually about 8cent each) – $5.00 but you will need to trim and add treat.

Option 2 – a digitally designed 3×4 Valentine, printed, and ready to add your treat.  – $15.00 for 30 Valentines (pick up required)

Option 3 – a digitally designed 3×4 Valentine complete with Tootsie Roll Pop, tied and ready to hand out! – $22.00 for 30 Valentines (pick up required)

Valentines day is just around the corner so let me know if I can help. You can contact me at my website www.mycmsite.com/deeanna click on the “contact me” in the upper right corner and I’ll get right back to you.

Sharing Creative Memories software and the many things that you can create with just a little imagination is one of my favorite things to do, photo books, page prints, invitations, and cards are just a few of the options. I hope your Valentine’s Day is everything you imagine…..or perfectly imperfect…..whichever works for you.
