I don’t take the decision to follow Jesus lightly, but way back then I really had no idea how grateful I would be for choosing Jesus. It's strange to think that one seemingly little decision so very long ago has changed the trajectory of my family’s future and is the biggest blessing of my life. It's a true ripple effect.
After becoming a Christian I went to church for years, sat by myself through many sermons where I prayed to one day have my husband sit beside me.
And while my children did attend church with me I knew the statistics about families where dad didn't attend church, so I prayed over my children daily when they were young. Then as they became teenagers and young adults my prayers became more fervent, actually with hands raised on bedroom doors calling on the name of Jesus, asking for guidance, both for them and myself, and of course for their salvation.
And I cannot tell you how thankful I am to have that moment realized. My hubby, my daughters, their husbands and their children saved by the blood of Jesus, worshipping the risen savior of our souls.
I still have loved ones that I stand in proxy for in hope that they have their come to Jesus moment soon, but as I examine my life, I know that prayer changes things....
If you're praying for a special person or circumstance, I want to encourage you... Don’t give up friends! It may take some time and lots of waiting for the right moment, but Jesus is faithful, and He knows.…so, keep praying, keep standing in proxy and keep hope alive!
Until then... May the Lord bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you (and yours) and be gracious to you, may He turn His face toward you and give you peace.
Amen
